How long does it take to get the Von addiction?
Jake Newbon, Revenue Operations Manager at Auror, describes his experience with Von as an AI tool that provides nuanced responses to questions. He explains how the onboarding process lead to what he calls 'Von addiction' within 2-3 weeks, as users discover the dramatic productivity gains. Tasks that previously took hours can now be completed in 5-10 minutes, representing thousands of percent productivity increases. He contrasts this with the frustrating experience of using traditional tools like Power BI reports, highlighting how Von makes work more enjoyable and efficient. He emphasizes that AI tools like Von work as multipliers — once you start using them effectively, they create a positive feedback loop that continuously amplifies your productivity.

How long does it take to get the Von addiction?
The way it starts versus how it is two or three weeks from when people get onboarded is very different. The aha moment for them is when they can come in, yeah, and start asking questions and get a nuanced response from Von. That's when they go, oh, okay. Now I see why this is different to us just using Claude in a silo.
The things that would normally take hours, right, are now five, ten minute jobs. You could do five in ten minutes. I mean, that's not a hundred percent increase. That's not a two like, what is that?
A thou like, thousands of percent increase in potential productivity. People are like, looking at me going, you're having so much fun. Never seen you have so much fun. No one liked scrolling through a Power BI report and filtering and your browser crashed like, now it's just so much easier.
I like to do AI and tools like Von specifically as multiplier. Like if you're multiplying zero, then what's the point? Once you get started, it's like that feedback loop. You can keep increasing your base and then it just keeps multiplying on top of that.
